Home-Visiting Support
If you are having a difficult time and would like support, one of our co-ordinators will visit you to explain what we can offer. If Home-Start Hampshire is the right kind of support for you, a carefully selected and trained volunteer, can visit you regularly for 2-3 hours a week in your own home. Our volunteers are there to offer emotional and practical support, which will be discussed and agreed with you. Our support is flexible and responsive to your needs and can include:
- being a listening ear or someone to talk to
- helping and playing with your children
- offering reassurance – being a parent is not easy
- helping to find out about and access other local amenities and services
- encouragement and motivation
- practical help
If you are a parent or carer looking for support, please contact your nearest office by locating it on our contact us page. Once you have connected with your local office they will be able to help you.
Home-Start Hampshire is an independent and confidential volunteer service – we only support you at your request. Once we receive a request for support we will arrange to visit you to discuss what issues your family is experiencing and what support is needed and how we may be able to help you.
