As news of the coronavirus continues to dominate headlines and with further cases confirmed in the UK, Home-Start Hampshire is following the guidance set by government and public health agencies, working closely with staff, volunteers and the families we support as we do so.

Current advice is for most people to continue to go to work, school and other public places and as such we will not currently be suspending any operations; home visits, groups and social events will continue as planned.

Health and hygiene are always of paramount importance to our staff and volunteers; however, we have reiterated this across our network and asked people to familiarise themselves and follow guidance to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

We understand that public health emergencies such as this can be a cause of stress and anxiety and would encourage everyone to follow the official guidance, which is available via the government website.

Anyone worried about symptoms (cough, high temperature, shortness of breath), should remain at home, avoid contact with other people and call NHS 111.
