Due to the current public health situation we have temporarily stopped all face to face family contact. However, our team of dedicated staff and volunteers are still working and providing remote support to families in need. Support is currently being provided via telephone, video calls and text depending on the family’s preference and we are working with colleagues from other Home-Start schemes to explore and develop additional ways of providing support in a safe manner.
We are still accepting new referrals and processing them as efficiently as possible and, as we anticipate an increased need for our services over the coming weeks and months as this period of lockdown continues, we are also looking at innovative ways we can support families most effectively remotely. During this time we will also be working with our partner agencies to sign post where families need additional support around essential food or household supplies, collection of medication or advice round finance.
